DOMINO PRODUCT DESIGN

In line with the brief, I designed a light fitting to implement within my design. I designed the light to optimise the void space. It was placed in the corner of the floor plan and cascades down three levels.
The light fitting was designed to contain coloured glass at the end of each drop. This glass was imprinted with plants that are local to the site. To make this design I would press the print of the plant into clay and then make a plaster and flint cast around the clay template. In this cast, I would place glass pellets. Using a furnace, it would heat the glass to take the shape of my clay mould. As I wasn’t able to do this at home, I made glass etchings to show the designs I would like to use.
